IT’S TIME TO SET YOUR SOUL ON FIRE

I can see it in your eyes,
The flames,
The burning desires,
The dreams,
The yearning,
The determination…

I can feel it when your heart beats,
It’s electric,
It’s passionate,
It’s addictive.

And I can also feel the tension,
The pull,
Between wanting to hide,
And wanting to stand up and fully unleash what you have to create.

Why are you playing small?
Why are you hiding?
What are you afraid of?
Really…

You were born to make an impact,
You were born to be a star,
You were born to make people stare,
You were born to stand for what you believe in.

But NOTHING is going to shift,
If you don’t actually climb up onto that damn stage darling.

And I get it.
The stage might not be as big as you want,
Or the perfect colour,
Or exactly as you pictured it,
But it’s still a stage!
And you’re a god damn super star,
So what the hell are you doing?

It is not honourable to play small,
It is not honourable to hide,
It is not honourable to give into fear,
To excuses,
Or to self doubt,

In fact,
That is SELFISH.
Because there are people who NEED to hear you,
They NEED to hear what you have to say,
They NEED you to give them permission to shine,
They NEED you to perform as you were born to.

Yet you continue to allow yourself to be pulled.
One minute your crown is on,
The next it’s hidden in the back of the wardrobe,
And if you’re walking around saying you want to impact millions,
Then that is NO okay.

It’s all right there.
So close that I can nearly see it,
And you can nearly touch it,
In fact,
You can taste it.

But trust me when I say,
It will continue to remain JUST that far away,
Unless you truly begin to step up.

It’s time.
It’s your time.
Time to unleash,
And set your soul on fire.

You were BORN for this.

Now get up,
Focus,
Take a deep breath,
And carry on super star…
